independent, very private, very selective,
friends only blog for a faerie oc.
adored by westley.

about the mun!

hello! i’m westley, i’m 25, i’m a lesbian and i use they / he pronouns. i'm taken by my lovely boyfriend, venny, who you can find on both juwul and euyin! i’ve been roleplaying since about november of 2011 or early 2012 (i've been here for... A While) and gave up around, uh, 2017? 2018? i don’t... really remember lol. my memory is not so good.my interests include games (the sims, slime rancher, stardew valley, world of warcraft, red dead redemption 2, and just a few others), geology, astronomy, mythology, frogs, horror movies, and not much else i think.mutuals are always more than welcome to ask me for my discord as well as my personal blog!thank you for reading this particular page, have a good day <3

rules!

(i'm not sure where else to place this, but i figured at the top above these rules would be best so: if you can't find an immediate example of my writing on the 1st or 2nd page of my blog, then you can find my replies in my ic tag!)01. this is a highly private, selective, independent, friends only roleplay blog for a faerie oc. i am strictly mutuals only. basic roleplay etiquette is expected — no godmodding, no injuring or killing my character without talking to me beforehand, and please talk to me if there’s any kind of issue you have with me. i’m painfully forgetful, so if there’s ever a rule i break or info of your character that i get wrong or forget entirely, please don’t hesitate to let me know and i will make the appropriate change(s).02. i prefer writing para- to multi-para replies. i’m fine with one-liners on occasion, but i’m far more comfortable with replies that have one or more paragraphs. i always do my best to match your reply length, especially if you have anything over 3 paragraphs.03. i tend not to follow people who write in purple prose. nothing wrong with it or anyone that writes it, i’m just dumb and it’s just honestly a little hard for me to understand at times.04. again, i’m extremely forgetful so if it seems like i’ve missed a reply from you, don’t hesitate to ask me about it! i would recommend waiting about a week before doing so, though, as your reply might also be in my drafts. just, please don’t pester me about replies, thank you!05. i absolutely will not write smut with minors. it’s nasty as well

as illegal. i will not follow or interact with anyone that writes and / or condones the writing of rape (or calling it noncon / dubcon), incest, pedophilia (or calling it shotacon / lolicon), etc. you will get an instant block from me.06. i like to keep my dashboard drama-free, however, i do understand that certain behaviors (the writing or condoning of bigotry of any kind, pedophilia, rape, incest, etc.) must not be tolerated and must be called out for the things they’ve said and / or done to inform and warn others.07. there are a decent amount of triggers here. agatha has been through a lot (extensive bullying from her peers in school + torture at the hands of a religious cult) and subsequently turned to coping via self-harm and self-deprecating language. i won't go to the extent of describing her self harm or the torture she's been through, but both agatha and i will talk about it and it will be mentioned from time to time because she's still healing from it all. i do try to tag everything appropriately (as 'trigger /') but please, please let me know if i've forgotten or if you need something tagged.08. i’m totally fine with pre-established relationships! i prefer them actually, and if you prefer to skip the awkwardness with first meetings, that’s absolutely fine with me. if at any point you'd like to write out the first time our characters meet (even if they've already met) then that's fine with me as well! if you’d like a ship with agatha, don’t hesitate to ask! 99% of the time, i’m totally down for it.

noticeable features: her eyes. the freckles that cover most of her body, glowing when she's in a heightened state of excitement or arousal. her wings, which are normally hidden, closely resemble the wings of a dragonfly. she has three sets of them and they're rather large. they're thin, transparent and have an iridescent sheen to them. when they flutter, showers of glittering gold sparkles fall from them. when tucked away, her wings are a tattoo-like image on her back, still with an iridescent sheen. her ears are quite long and come to a fairly sharp point. they can be indicative of emotion; they droop when sad, stand a little taller when she's happy or excited, flattened against her skull when frightened, etc. they're also quite sensitive.

noticeable accessories: large, round glasses with thin metal frames, her wedding ring on the ring finger of her left hand, a fidget ring on her left thumb and usually a pair of earrings.
scars / markings: most of her scars are self-harm scars — which are on her inner arms, thighs, and hips — but she does her best to hide them by wearing long-sleeved shirts or sweaters, she doesn’t wear shorts or skirts unless she can wear leggings underneath them. later, well into her relationship with maren, she isn’t quite as self-conscious of them and doesn’t go to so much effort to hide them. there are burn scars around agatha's eyes from acid being poured onto them repeatedly while she was still held hostage by ny herlighed. she was able to heal the skin and her eyes after each time, but after a while it wasn't as effective which resulted in permanent scarring.
tattoos: on the top of her thumb on her right hand is an outline of a cat's head, on the inside of her right wrist is a small rose, and a hand holding a crescent moon on the inside of her left wrist. the last tattoo matches one that her wife, maren, gets together with her, being a hand that holds a sun placed on the inside of her right wrist.

health: agatha's love for reading and preference for sitting at the back of school classrooms caused a decline in her eyesight and the need for glasses at the age of 18. as her ability to heal herself didn't come to her until around the age of 20, the damage had been done and she couldn't fix it (and later, when ny herlighed repeatedly poured acid over her eyes, her vision worsened despite multiple attempts to heal the damage). she suffers from insomnia, depression, anxiety (all diagnosed at 13), and ptsd (diagnosed at 20, later at 25 it was noted her ptsd had become more severe after enduring torture at the hands of ny herlighed). bullying over her stutter caused her to become selectively mute. with maren's help, as well as a good therapist, she's overcome her stutter for the most part and is no longer selectively mute except in rare instances. her depression and anxiety is treated with medication and she's slowly working through her ptsd.

biography!

(tw for vague mentions of self harm & torture)

it’s rare to find faeries living out in a bustling city, but this is where matilda met the human man who would later become her husband and even later become the father of her only child, robert hase. it was truly love at first sight and after being together for a year, they got married. after a year and a half passed, on march 20th at three in the morning, matilda gave birth to a beautiful baby faerie that she named agatha. growing up, agatha showed a love for learning and reading, and eventually an even stronger love for gardening and growing things. her mother would show her the magic that is gardening, growing flowers just for agatha, growing them big and beautiful and vibrant. she taught her as soon as possible about what she is and of her powers, how these things make her unique and special, so agatha grew up believing in these things.eventually, as she got older, robert insisted on agatha being more involved in “human things”, like school. her mother argued against it as she was fine with homeschooling her daughter but eventually agreed. so agatha went to school. it was fun, at first. she made a small group of friends, her teachers were good to her, her grades were great. there was never an issue, that is until the bullying started. her interest in plants was thought of as stupid, her tiny friend group was made fun of by the popular kids, and her round, chubby cheeks pointed out and laughed at. agatha attempted to stand up for herself, but the moment she stuttered and stammered and stumbled over her words, the bullies used that to their advantage. it lead to her developing a stutter and it grew worse over time, causing agatha, a once rather talkative child, to grow unbearably quiet, even with the few friends she had and her parents.the bullying grew worse as she got older and no matter how hard her parents tried to fix this issue, nothing helped. it became harder to pull herself out of bed and face the day, dreading facing her bullies yet again. at the same time, it was hard to fall asleep at night, her slumber plagued by nightmares. she would skip meals (which she would have no true issue with as it caused her to lose weight, the bullying over her somewhat fuller features ceasing altogether, but this did cause her to become underweight). she picked up the habit of harming herself. agatha hid all of this as best as she could, burying herself in schoolwork, studying, and homework. matilda knew there was something wrong, but she didn’t know what else she could do to help her daughter. agatha was depressed, anxious, couldn’t sleep, wouldn’t eat much and wouldn’t talk. it was hard to see such a young faerie, who had once been so full of life and laughter, be so withdrawn and unhappy. matilda finally decided it was time for her daughter to see someone about this and took her to a therapist. at the age of thirteen, agatha was diagnosed with depression, her insomnia and anxiety a result of the depression. she was also diagnosed with selective mutism. there wasn’t much her parents could do about this, unable to afford treatment, but they thought a diagnosis was at least something. matilda and robert kept a closer eye on their daughter.the moment she turned sixteen, agatha buried herself in what jobs she could find that would fit her school hours. typically, it was retail work. after a while, she landed a job in a flower shop, agatha’s powers in taking care of plants leading to a boom in the sales of the store. it felt right being here, being a florist where she gets to take care of plants, help them grow. she felt at home. she felt better than she had in a long time, so agatha knew this would be what she wanted to do for the rest of her life, be a florist. her mother was elated about her job and for agatha, but her father? not so much. it wasn't that he wasn't happy for her, rather he didn't think this job was the type that would keep her afloat in life and he believed if she kept this job, she would end up revealing what she really is, so he protested this. but where agatha failed to defend herself from her bullies, she succeeded in defending what she wanted out of life. it made her happy and that was important to her. however his insistence on a different job caused a rift to grow between agatha and her father. the two often argued after that, widening the rift.when she was able to, around the age of eighteen, she set out on her own. she wanted to get away from everyone she knew, especially her father and her bullies from school who would still sometimes taunt her if she passed them by on the street. she wanted to be away from them, as far away as she could get, so she made her way to olympia, washington. she rented a small, one bedroom apartment. once she bought furniture, decorated her new apartment, she set about job searching. it was rough for a little while, but she eventually found a flower shop that was looking for a florist, so agatha applied. she got the job and, elated, she called home and informed her mother who was extremely happy for her.her boss, a kind elderly man named todd hartley, adored his newest and only employee and began to view her as the daughter he never had. in turn, agatha began to view him as a father figure and loved him like one. other than her parents, todd is the only one she’s confided in about her depression and how she feels all the time. he’s the only other person she’s ever been talkative with. that is, until she met maren a few years later, not long after turning twenty-one.despite how forgetful agatha can be, she can always recall the day the two of them met. it was a few months after she moved to olympia. her boss was away and asked her to take care of the shop for a few days. the shop was quiet and not particularly busy, so she stepped outside for a little while to water the small garden next to the building. she sang softly to the flowers growing there, her magic encouraging their growth. after a little while, she went back inside and found perhaps the most beautiful woman she’s ever seen waiting inside. agatha couldn’t help but find her imposing, her height, her stern features, the scars on her face, all of her. but then the woman smiled at her, then spoke, and her heart fluttered in her chest. she expected the voice that came out of her mouth to be harsh or mean, but it wasn’t. rather it was soft, and agatha felt some of her anxiety melt away. the woman leaned against the counter, pointed to the orchids in a pot on a shelf behind her and asked for daisies. this incorrect identification of the orchids would have otherwise been frustrating, but it earned a small, amused giggle out of the faerie.she introduced herself as maren and asked her out. it surprised agatha that this beautiful stranger wanted to go on a date with her. agatha didn’t feel like she was special enough to be at the attention of this woman. surely she could’ve asked anyone else, right? she could probably have anyone she wanted and she’s sure maren knows that, yet here she is, asking her out. she gave a timid smile and nodded, agreeing to a date with her. they date for two years when maren finally asks agatha to move in with her. excited, she agrees, glad to be out of her tiny apartment (and to have more room for the three cats and one dog she adopted over the two years of their dating). soon after moving in with her, they adopt a young girl named aurora as their daughter.todd hartley soon falls ill and passes on in his sleep. as close as agatha was to him, she mourned his death and mourned hard. she loved him and he was so much like the father she wanted, that supported her wants out of life, that she couldn’t not mourn his death. after his passing, she gets a call from his lawyer who, once she meets him, tells her todd left agatha in his will. he left the flower shop to her, wishing only for her to keep it going and take good care of it and make the shop her own. it was unexpected as well as a dream come true, her wishes to own her own flower shop and be her own florist coming true even if she didn’t like the circumstances it took to gain this. for a while, all is fine and good and agatha is happy with her girlfriend and her daughter.that is, until a religious order, ny herlighed, kidnapped agatha. maren previously belonged to them and they kidnapped her to bring her back, knowing maren would do just about anything for her girlfriend. they tortured agatha to not only get to maren but to get her to use her powers, trying to see how far she could go, how powerful she is. she resisted them at first despite the unbearable torture, but eventually gave in when they threatened aurora, who they also had. agatha couldn’t bear anything happening to her daughter, so she did what they wanted. they pushed her to her limits, even when she was too worn out to keep going. this went on for three and a half months as anytime maren came close to finding her and aurora, ny herlighed moved them away from her. anytime agatha displayed any hope of being rescued, they would only sneer at her and tell her maren wasn’t coming for her, that she didn’t care about her or love her. that it was all a lie. but she wouldn’t believe them. she refused to.at one point, a member of ny herlighed approached agatha with a newspaper in their hand. in big, bold letters, the headline read, “notorious serial killer found dead in abandoned hospital” and below the headline was a picture that made her heart plummet into the pit of her stomach. it was a picture of maren. she didn’t want to believe it, the love of her life couldn’t be dead! no matter how hard she wanted to believe that maren wasn’t dead, part of her believed it and the tears began to fall and she cried and sobbed and screamed. ny herlighed continued to use maren’s death against her to make her lose all hope, insisting that agatha nor aurora would be saved.maren did eventually find her and aurora. she killed her way in and once she found agatha, she killed everyone else who was in the room. agatha laid eyes on her and for a moment she appeared as though she’d seen a ghost. if maren was dead, how could she be here now? is her mind or ny herlighed playing terrible tricks on her? but eventually, she became overjoyed to see her girlfriend again, overjoyed that her torturers were wrong. maren did care about her and loved her, and she was still alive! they were wrong and she couldn’t be more happy about that. she freed agatha, then aurora, and finally they were able to go home. just before bringing her home, maren promised to marry her, to put all of this behind them. it didn’t feel real at first, it felt like she was dreaming. they both wished it could’ve been under better circumstances, but agatha said yes.it was hard not to be afraid all the time, to think her rescue was a dream, or perhaps a cruel, cruel nightmare. agatha thought she would wake back up in that place and that the torture would continue. sometimes she’d swear she still saw blood on maren’s hands, but oh, that didn’t stop her from loving her. already they’ve been through so much for her to stop. all of the happiness she gave her outweighed the bad things that happened.a few months later, after her rescue, maren suggested moving away. it would be a new beginning elsewhere. agatha hesitated, even said no at first. it would mean uprooting her life again, it would especially mean leaving behind her flower shop. she hadn’t made many friends since moving here, so that wasn’t the hard part. they would hopefully understand her desire to move. it was the flower shop. but… new beginnings were good, right? perhaps it would be a place where she, aurora and maren would be safe from ny herlighed. a little later, she informed maren she would think about it. so she did. she thought about it long and hard, heavily weighing the pros and cons. she wondered what todd would tell her. to stay here? to go where she might be happier? to listen to her heart? the only thing her heart was telling her was to move elsewhere with maren, to be happy. agatha thought and thought and thought. the only con to leaving this city was leaving behind the shop and all of the pros outweighed the one con, so she went to maren and agreed to moving with her.agatha sold the flower shop and after packing everything up, they moved out of olympia and into the countryside of norway. the faerie felt more at home there than she did in olympia, thriving in the nature that surrounded them and their new home. not long after the two get settled in, they get married. it’s a small gathering, just the two of them, aurora, a few select friends as well as agatha's parents. it was one of the happiest days of agatha’s life and again, it felt like everything was good and fine. nothing would harm them, never again.a month after the wedding, agatha decided it was time again to find another job. in the town closest to their new home, she found a flower shop for sale and, with the money she got from selling the other one, she bought it and made it her own. after buying the shop, maren had a garden built around their new house just for agatha, as well as having a greenhouse built just so she could sell her own flowers. excited and ready to begin, agatha planted every seed she could get her hands on that would grow in that season. she even set a small section aside as a vegetable garden. but burying putting herself to work in her garden and the shop wasn't enough for her to forget or put away the trauma she endured at the hands of ny herlighed and maren knew that, so she helped agatha by getting her to see a therapist, one that understood what she went through. slowly but surely, she began to feel better and safer here, she began to remember what she went through without reliving it. oh, but of course she still has nightmares and flashbacks and her depression can get the better of her sometimes, but so long as she has maren and aurora, it feels like everything will be just fine and good.
